The Savage Fencing Club Store is now open!
If you have been (understandably!) jealous of the great team jackets, t-shirts, hoodies and shorts you have seen some of our members wearing, do not despair!  You can now purchase from our store (see link below)
Some important information:

*  The store close date is 11:59 PM on 9/30/26.
*  Boathouse Sports apparel is custom made in the USA!
*  Please be sure to place your order(s) before the team store close date to ensure a quicker fulfillment of items for         everyone. Once closed, the store will be placed into production.
*  Note that there are minimum amounts of gear that must be ordered in total, not by one person, (usually six) to insure production. Don't worry about that! If there are insufficient numbers of any one item ordered, the club will make up the difference.
*Also please note that in order to save you money, all gear will be shipped to Lauren's and Bruce's address.

Our Next Beginner Class Starts September 10

Our next beginner class - for ages nine and up -- will start on Thursday, September 10, 2026.

If you are interested, please send us an email so we can keep you informed.  
                                                         

Each new student receives a free fencing glove

Classes are from 6-7 p.m.

This course runs for eight weeks

$200 cost includes use of all gear

Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are our official epee nights for open bouting.  We also offer intermediate epee classes on Monday nights (for adults), and on Tuesday and Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings (for Youth).  A special 90-minute advanced epee class for competitive fencers is offered on Wednesday and Friday evenings (contact the club for further information).

Tuesdays and Thursdays are our official foil nights for open bouting.  We also offer foil youth and adult classes on those nights.

Thursday night is also Feeless Fencing:  No floor fee for non-member foil fencers every Thursday.  Open bouting starts at 8 p.m. 

Saturday mornings, we offer two youth epee classes (from 9-10 a.m. for those ages approximately 8-10, and 10-11 a.m. for those approximately 10 and older), as well lessons offered by Coach Robert Suchorski.

Open bouting on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. is available to anybody, in all three weapons ($20 floor fee and releases required for non-members, no charge for anyone who is taking classes or lessons).

If you are interested in getting a taste of our sport, we also offer a free 30-minute introductory lesson, available either by appointment, or -- if you feeling adventuresome -- to walk-ins on Saturday mornings.  

Individual lessons in foil and epee can be scheduled most evenings and Saturdays. Email us to learn more.
Located in The Historic Savage Mill, in Savage, MD, the Savage Fencing Club offers professional instruction in the sport of fencing for those ages 7 and up, at all skill levels, from beginner to national champion.

When you arrive, you will see a rather small parking lot on your left, down a decline.  You will also see a sign directing you to the Big Lot.  Follow that sign (going the full length of Foundry Street) to the Big Lot, and then park as close as you can to the Mill.  Once you enter the building, you will see (or hear) our club, directly downstairs and on your right.
